Study at University of Kansas

What do you feel if you have a chance to study in US? Happy? Sure. That is what I feel now.  I am getting excited for being here, University of Kansas or KU in America. This is the first for me to go abroad for studying English  and of course, it is so extraordinary.  I am here just for 2 months or Summer Semester. It is so short actually. Although it is short, I think the most important thing is how useful our time and how many things that we can take as lessons and experience. As far as here, I have a lot of thing that I have learned and my experience that I want to share, maybe  it can be motivation for you.

                I have learned a lot of thing from my teachers, either Grammar/Writing  teacher( I have the same teacher for two classes) or Listening teacher. Both of them are my motivation. I have a dream for being a good teacher and I think they are a good teacher to be a model. Last semester before coming here, I  taught in my University and I knew, it was so hard to manage the class and my students although they were the same level or ages. Here, I see how patient my teachers to face their students who come from different countries and different ages. I really appreciate them. Besides that, there are a lot of thing as my experience  that I cannot find in my country Indonesia. For instance, the drivers are very careful in driving and they are very appreciate with pedestrian. I am so proud of them. I am often on foot to go to campus and I feel safe to across the street. An addition, I like to see the old building here because in Indonesia, there have been changed to modern and high building and so difficult to find the building like here. The most important of my experience  is I can find many friends here who come from my countries such as Japan, Saudi Arabia, China, Korea and America, of course. Besides that, I feel so proud to be a class with the students who are a Ph.D. program students and Prof.  and I have learned a lot of thing(also) from them.  I will never forget about it.

                Overall, I feel so wonderful to be here. The chance to study abroad, the chance to see how  my teachers teach many students with different background and ages  and find many friends who comes  from many countries are the greatest experience in my life. If you have a dream, do your best and never say never for something that seem impossible because nothing impossible in the world.
